New automatic brewers add pour-over mechanics, rapid heating, cold modes, and connected features—but certification remains a performance floor, not a workflow verdict.
Why this deserves attention
The SCA’s current certified-home-equipment list adds several 2026 brewers, including the Cosori Juni automatic pour-over, Kismile Precision Drip, and Café Specialty models. Their feature sets range from moving brew baskets and rapid heating to hot/cold modes and Wi-Fi control.
Certification indicates that a submitted machine passed the program’s brewing-performance evaluation; it does not decide whether the carafe, batch size, cleaning, noise, counter footprint, or app makes sense for a particular kitchen. For an already capable brewer, the list is best used to narrow candidates when a real workflow limitation appears.
What to watch
The headline is the start of the question.
01
Independent measurements across full and partial batches
02
Water distribution and temperature stability after months of use
03
Cleaning burden and replacement-part availability
04
Whether connected features improve a repeated job or merely decorate it
